Information and education, research on issues affecting the environment , the promotion of ecologically sustainable development, social consequences and economic viability within the region of Greater Sydney.
Objectives
10,000 Friends of Greater Sydney (FROGS) has been established as a not for profit organisation with its principal purpose to promote and protect a sustainable Vision for the Greater Sydney region.
The Vision
A City of Cities where planning and implementation effectively delivers acceptable and sustainable economic, social and environmental outcomes.
Organisation
FROGS includes members from state and local government, business, community organisations and the community at large.
Activities
10,000 Friends’ main activities include:
- Taking messages to your community, local businesses, community organisations and members of government.
- Participation in local workgroups testing development projects and plans against the vision for Greater Sydney we want
- Viewing the big picture and performing independent research on issues which impact on the quality of life for individuals and communities.
